Admire Canada’s unforgettable landscapes from the Rocky Mountaineer, and enjoy stays in Banff, Vancouver, Toronto and azure-hued Lake Louise - includes all travel and half board on the train

Vancouver

More than just a pretty face, the mountain-rimmed city of Vancouver is an epicurean enclave with a growing crop of microbreweries and Insta-worthy neighbourhoods, from uber-cool Gastown to hipster Main Street; soak up these urban sights in a city framed by incredible natural scenery, and head into the wilderness to admire yet more incredible Canadian scenery from the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Lake Louise

Famous worldwide for its shockingly turquoise waters, Lake Louise is one sight in Canada that should not be missed. You’ll journey here on the Rocky Mountaineer, which will treat you to epic views every second of the journey, through the wide glass-roofed carriages. Once you arrive at the lake you’ll have several days set aside for gentle exploring; depending on the weather, hiking, biking, kayaking and dog sledging are all options here.

Banff

Sitting within Banff National Park, this charming town is bordered by mountains on all sides, with the peaks of Mount Rundle and Mount Cascade dominating the skyline. You can really immerse yourself in nature here, and explore the untouched wilderness with outdoor adventures galore. Watch out for the wildlife - residents include elk and grizzly bears. You’ll also find Canada’s trademark neon-blue lakes here - with Lake Louise and Lake Moraine, both fed by glaciers, being the most famous and arguably most incredible.

Toronto

Canada’s largest city is jam-packed full of sights, though still retains a quiet charm unique to the Great White North. From exploring green spaces to visiting nearby Niagara Falls, you’ll find plenty to occupy yourself here. There’s the towering CN tower, home to a revolving restaurant, Kensington Market, full of vintage shops, and Queen Street West, a trendy neighbourhood with bars you can enjoy late into the night.
