Wadi Rum

Explore the awe-inspiring landscapes of Jordan, from world-wonder Petra to the vast expanse of the Wadi Rum valley - includes half board, all travel and excursions

Day 1: UK - Amman

Fly from your UK departure airport to the Jordanian capital, Amman. You’ll settle into your hotel, then have the rest of the day to start exploring this vibrant city. (Meals: dinner)

Day 2: Amman - Jerash - Ajloun - Dead Sea

Today, you’ll kick things off with a tour of Amman, then continue to the beautifully-preserved Roman city of Jerash, where collonaded streets and ancient city walls await. Wander this incredible city, then carry on north to Ajloun Castle, built in 1184 during the crusades. After this, you’ll head south again to the lowest point on earth - the Dead Sea. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 3: Dead Sea

Enjoy a day at leisure at your Dead Sea resort. You can pass the day away floating in the saltiest waters on earth, or slathering yourself in therapeutic mud from the seafloor. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 4: Dead Sea - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Little Petra - Petra (Wadi Musa)

Set off early today for a busy day of historic sights. First up are the mosaics of Madaba, a map of the Holy Land created in the sixth century. Then, you’ll move on to Mount Nebo, where Moses glimpsed the Promised Land. From there, you’ll drive south to Little Petra, a warm-up for tomorrow’s epic visit to the unforgettable Petra. Get a taste of what’s in store as you admire the carved facades, then continue to Wadi Musa, the gateway to Petra, for the night. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 5: Petra

Today, you’ll spend a full day at the Nabatean rose city of Petra, a UNESCO-listed Wonder of the World. Gaze in awe at the Treasury as you emerge from the end of the two kilometre-long Siq, then continue exploring - if you’re up for it, make the 800-step climb up to the Monastery for incredible views and a sense of achievement like no other. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 6: Petra - Wadi Rum

After breakfast, drive into the sunset-hued desert of Wadi Rum, exploring on a 90-minute Jeep ride. Known as the Valley of the Moon to locals, this echoing expanse is truly magical. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 7: Wadi Rum - Amman

Enjoy breakfast in the desert, then drive back to Amman, admiring the incredible landscapes as you go. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)
