A stylish Rome stay at a boutique guesthouse in the heart of the city, with breakfast and a bottle of prosecco

Art lovers have a lot to look forward to at Relais Rione Ponte, a hip nine-room guesthouse situated on the second floor of a 17th-century building in the Eternal City. And the location’s not bad either, smack bang in the heart of Rione Ponte - the historic district that’s home to an eclectic mix of trendy cafes, upscale restaurants, and one-of-a-kind boutiques.

Opened in 2014, this little place has created a big buzz, mostly for its intimate set up and contemporary-cool styling. All of the guest rooms assure sleek decor and lovely en-suite bathrooms with NUXE amenities. And then, of course, there’s the rotating collection of art pieces proudly displayed on the walls.

While there’s no restaurant, you can enjoy sweet Italian-style breakfasts in the hotel’s living room each morning - or order straight to your room if you don’t fancy getting out of bed. Also worthy of your attention is the reading room that’s kitted out with a PC and printer, and the onsite Spazio Arte gallery that showcases original works by emerging modern artists and students.

Good to know

Please note that a city tax of €3.50 per person, per night per night is payable at the hotel upon check-out. It may be subject to change according to City Council amendments.

Accommodation

Art lovers have a lot to look forward to at Relais Rione Ponte, a hip nine-room guesthouse situated on the second floor of a 17th-century building in the Eternal City. And the location’s not bad either, smack bang in the heart of Rione Ponte - the historic district that’s home to an eclectic mix of trendy bars and cafes, upscale restaurants, and one-of-a-kind boutiques.

Opened in 2014, this little place has created a big buzz, mostly for its intimate set up and contemporary-cool styling. Given the hotel’s love for modern art, there’s an unsurprisingly contemporary look in each of the unique guest rooms. Overlooking Piazza delle Cinque Lune or the quiet inner courtyard, the compact Classic rooms come with a queen-size bed with a hypoallergenic mattress and foam pillows (feather pillows on request), and an en-suite bathroom with NUXE amenities.

The larger Superior rooms have the exact same room amenities but offers a more living space, a queen-size bed or twin beds, and views over Piazza delle Cinque Lune or Piazza di Tor Sanguigna.

Dining

Although there is no restaurant, the hotel serves a sweet Italian breakfast in the lovely living room (this can also be ordered to your room if you don’t fancy getting out of bed). There’s also a relaxing reading room complete with a PC and printer, Nespresso machine, biscuits, and fresh fruit. For lunch and dinner, take your pick from the many bars, cafes, restaurants and takeaway joints that are just minutes from the hotel.
