Get ready to explore the wilds of Mongolia on a truly off-the-beaten-track adventure. Spend a night on board your flight.

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar

Day 3: Ulaanbaatar - Khustain Nuruu National Park

After breakfast, spend the morning exploring at your leisure or choose to attend a Mongol nomadic Show (£52pp). In the afternoon, set off towards Khustain Nuruu National Park, established to protect the surviving wild horses. Make your way to your first traditional Ger camp for the night. (Meals: breakfast, optional lunch)

Day 4: Khustain Nuruu National Park - Karakorum

Enjoy breakfast in the wilderness, then set off through the Mongolian Steppe towards Karakorum to explore ruins and walk in the footsteps of Mongol kings. Visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery, then transfer to your next Ger camp. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Karakorum - Tsenkher

Known as the ‘paradise of the horse herders’, Tsenkher is a breathtaking region full of thick pine forests. Enjoy a dip in some warming hot springs, then head to another camp for the night. (Meals: breakfast)

Spend today with a nomadic family, who will show you how they live: ride horses, help milk the animals, lend a hand around camp and dine on traditional food. Living a day in the life of these nomads will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Tsenkher - The Red Waterfall - Orkhon Valley
